Suzanne and Charles Krutzen, owners of LUC Urethanes, Inc., present a donation to Conroe Youth Soccer League during the grand opening ceremony on Friday, Nov. 20, 2015, at the new LUC Urethanes, Inc. plant in Conroe. At the ceremony the Krutzens donated three $3,000 checks to three local charities: Angel Reach, Back to Basics, and Conroe Youth Soccer League.

President Deb Keller said it is the league’s largest monetary donation and it will go towards scholarships. “We are honored,” Keller said. “We are impressed by LUC Urethanes commitment to social responsibility and to making a long term positive impact benefiting the children of the community.”

The Netherlands-based polyurethane manufacturing company provides an alternative product to rubber that combines elasticity with the strength of plastic for a longer life span, the company said. From rollercoaster wheels to tech solutions for pipe and cable, the raw mixed product is used in a gamut of ways--making the oil and gas industry and amusement parks a couple of their main markets. The new Conroe location will be led by Plant Manager Adrian Patton. To read the entire Conroe Courier article by Meagan Ellsworth

DONATIONS & SPONSORSHIPS

THANK YOU, TEXAS FIREFIGHTERS!

During July 19-24th, The Texas Firefighter Games were held in Conroe. For the event, Firefighters came from all over Texas to compete in multiple sporting events, including soccer. At the start of the games, Erik Harr, organizer of the games, presented Deb Keller, President of CYSL, with 40 premium soccer balls, donated by the Texas Firefighters.

"This donation was extremely generous", said Keller. "We so appreciate what the Texas Firefighters do for us on a daily basis--saving lives. This gesture shows, once again, how they go above and beyond to give back to our communities."
